Limited Edition Linocut Print

I started to explore lincocut printing during the pandemic. Like many other people, I needed a project to keep my mind occupied and this was it! I even invested in a Victorian book press, which I adore!

The prints here are all of a limited edition. Again, the images are heavily influenced by history, places and experiences that hold meaning for me. Many of the images are also reflected in my other artwork and in my jewellery.

Puffins everywhere on Lindisfarne! In this reduction linocut, I wanted to capture the reflection of the puffin’s vbrant orange in the sea as it flew overhead. This is one of a limited edition of 15.

Lyme Regis holds strong memories for me – the first time I put on my ‘fossiling boots’. (I really thought they were a special type of boot!) I wanted to capture the streaks of colour in the sunset sky.

This reduction linocut print was created form the pencil drawing ‘Crown and Fleur de Lis’, inspired by the columns in King’s College Chapel, Cambridge.

Pia de Tolomei and Nello della Pietra

This reduction linocut print was influenced by the sculpture of the same name in the Uffizi in Florence. I have seen his sculpture several times and it’s an image I keep returning to.
